Environmental Policy
At UPROAR we believe that good environmental practice should be at the heart of every arts organisation. As such we ensure that every effort is made to minimise any detrimental effects our activities, processes and services may have on the environment and are committed to making a positive difference to the environment by undertaking all activities in an environmentally responsible manner.
To help to achieve this goal, we have implemented an environmental management system to effectively monitor our impacts and continually improve our environmental performance.
Our key environmental impacts have been identified as energy consumption, paper usage as a part of administrative activities and transport usage. In an attempt to manage these environmental impacts and to reduce the company’s overall imprint on the environment, UPROAR is dedicated to:
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations associated with our activities, including voluntary commitments
- Protecting the environment from any adverse effects our activities may have, including pollution prevention
- Increasing awareness of good environmental practice for suppliers and the freelance musicians working with us
- Reducing the impact of greenhouse gases by reviewing our transport practices and exploring alternative transport methods
- Exploring ways in which to assess and encourage improvements in environmental performance throughout all aspects of the organisation
- Achieve Green Dragon Level 2 certification for our environmental management system
- Reduce energy consumption wherever possible
- Apply the principles of continual improvement in environmental performance through all aspects of our EMS and organisation’s activities
This environmental policy shall be communicated to all freelance staff and musicians working with us and shall be made publicly available.
The Policy will be reviewed annually and revised whenever necessary.
UPROAR is a Green Dragon Environmental Standard level 2 accredited company.
